The level of accommodation offered by the clinics we work with is an important part of the total package of services our clients have access to. Please don’t feel embarrassed if you’re concerned about accommodation. We understand that recovering addicts have the greatest chances of success if they are in surroundings they find both comfortable and secure. We would expect you to want accommodation that supplies both.
Because there are so many private rehab clinics in the UK, it is impossible for us to give you a blanket description of all of them. However, we can tell you that our clinics, whether in Essex or elsewhere, make every effort to meet the needs of every client. Please take a few minutes to view our video tours if you would like to learn more about our clinics.
Levels of Accommodation
When we talk of accommodation, we are talking mainly about the areas where clinic residents sleep and eat. The other areas are used for recreational, therapeutic and treatment purposes. At most of our clinics, the accommodation will be classified under one of the following three options:
Private – A facility offering private accommodation will have an individual room for each client. That room will generally include a comfortable bed, chest, and closet. Some also include desk space where clients can sit to write letters or do other tasks. Bathrooms might be en suite or shared.
Semi-Private – A semi-private accommodation is the healthcare industry equivalent of double occupancy. It generally suggests two people to a room with shared closet and desk space. Some clinics offer both private and semi-private accommodations within the same facility. Space limits and budgets will determine eligibility for private rooms.
Dormitory – The final classification is the dormitory. In this setting, multiple clients, as many as a dozen or more, all share living space in a large dormitory room. In such cases, the bathroom facilities are separate but shared. The advantage of a dormitory style facility is that the cost tends to be lower.
In terms of treatment options, the accommodation a clinic offers should have no bearing. As we already mentioned, treatments are provided in spaces that are separate from living accommodations.
Another area where you might see differences between clinics is that of kitchen facilities. A smaller clinic might be located in a former residential house, offering a standard sized kitchen and dining room. Clients will prepare food and eat together in smaller spaces.
Some of the larger facilities have commercial-grade kitchens and larger dining spaces to accommodate more clients. Residents might still be expected to participate in food preparation, service, and clean up.
Luxury Rehab Clinic Accommodation
As you can see, the level of accommodation will differ across the entire spectrum of rehab clinics we work with. Yet we want to make you aware of the existence of exclusive, luxury rehab clinics for those who have the financial means to afford them.
The luxury clinic will typically offer private rooms with en suite bathrooms and a number of amenities. These clinics are intended for wealthier individuals who are already used to a higher standard of living. The goal is to also make them as comfortable and secure as possible, in relation to what they are normally accustomed to.
Other Things to Consider
We are available to answer all of your questions regarding the accommodation offered by our clinics. Please do not hesitate to give us a call. In the meantime, there are some other things to consider. Below is a short list of facilities and amenities you might find in some of our clinics:
Gyms – Exercise is a very important part of the addiction recovery process. To that end, rehab clinics in Essex and across England often include fully equipped gyms for the benefit of clients. Some of these gyms might be better than others, but that’s to be expected.
Swimming Pools – Along the same lines, swimming pools allow a clinic to provide exercise opportunities and a place to relax when treatment is not taking place. Swimming pools are not available in every clinic in Essex; we can help you locate one if it is something important to you.
Libraries – The clinic library is a great place to go to relax with a good book or do some research. If the clinic you choose does indeed have a library, you will likely find it to be an invaluable resource in your recovery.
We invite you to take the time to research the rehab clinics we have included on our website. There are a fair number to choose from in Essex, across England and throughout the UK. However, most important is that we help you find a clinic that meets your needs – a clinic that offers you a sense of safety, security, and tranquillity. That’s the type of environment you need to get well.
As you look through the accommodation the different clinics have to offer, you might be assuming there is no possible way you can afford private rehab. Please do not let those assumptions prevent you from calling our addiction recovery helpline. Believe it or not, private rehab is probably a lot more affordable than you think.
If you have private health insurance, you are likely already covered for drug or alcohol rehab. If not, there are other choices, including credit card accounts and personal loans. We can discuss all of this with you just as soon as you pick up the phone and call. Why wait? The road to recovery is just waiting for you to walk down it.
