Addiction Counsellor

We are seeking an enthusiastic Addiction Counsellor to join our therapy team at Castle Craig Hospital. Castle Craig is a leading 12 step addiction treatment centre, located in the Scottish countryside, close to Edinburgh.
A degree or diploma in counselling, psychology or nursing is preferable. Experience in the 12 Step/Minnesota Model is required.
Duties and responsibilities will include providing individual, group and family therapy for patients with alcohol and drug dependence. Successful candidates will also be expected to act as case managers for patients – working to coordinate all aspects of care for each patient, including developing individualised treatment plans and follow up with referral sources.
Further training opportunities are provided. Temporary accommodation is available if necessary.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Addiction Counsellor to join our therapy team at Castle Craig Hospital. Castle Craig is a leading 12 step addiction treatment centre, located in the Scottish countryside, close to Edinburgh. Patients are admitted to Castle Craig from the UK and from abroad, including the Netherlands.
A degree or diploma in counselling, psychology or nursing is preferable. If the applicant is not experienced in the 12 Step/Minnesota Model of treatment then a commitment to train and work in Scotland for a period of time would be required.

Lead Clinical Nurse

A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced senior nurse to manage our small nursing team and to take a lead role in the further development of the nursing service. Hours of work are 5 day-time shifts per week. The applicant should have at least 2 years experience in the management of patients with substance misuse. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in management, including audit. Leadership and decision-making skills and an understanding of the Clinical Governance aspects of nursing care are essential.
Further training opportunities are provided. Staff meals are inclusive. Temporary accommodation is available if necessary. Pay and holidays similar to NHS (Band 7 upwards).
