Full (voting) membership

Full Membership is open to treatment providers. These are organisations that provide psychosocial interventions and healthcare programmes, the principle goal of which is to establish, maintain and encourage a life free from dependence on alcohol and other drugs.

Full membership is open to individuals and organisations in the UK and internationally, as well as to the statutory sector (i.e. from Primary Care Trusts or Local Authorities). Please note that International Organisations would be expected to apply for Accreditation within 1 year of membership.

Full members are entitled to a free listing in our directory, to attend meetings (including sub-group meetings), to receive copies of all communications (including the monthly e-bulletins and bi-monthly policy briefing), to have full voting rights and to stand for election to the Board of Trustees.

Full membership is open to both individual facilities and parent organisations. Where a parent organisation joins, constituent facilities may join in their own right, as either full or associate members. Whilst a parent organisation may join without its constituents, only organisations joining in their own right will be entitled to membership rights, including a free listing in our directory.

Membership fees
Fees are dependent on the organisation's total operational costs over the last 12 months (for parent organisations these include all operational costs for any subsidiary facilities, and, in the case of those facilities which are part of a larger organisation, any central administration payment - however operational costs exclude spending on major capital projects):

Operational costs Fees due (per annum)
Up to £200k £225
£200k-£499k £525
£500k-£749k £900
£750k and above £1000
